I know with wallpaper you always want to make sure it's from the same run. Same with fabric. So I guess it makes sense about cardstock too.

My printer does it but I have to play with it a lot, and ends up wasting paper, even though it has a setting for thicker paper. For that reason I would recommend not getting an Epson Artison 800.
