Default Got my first clear stamps...help, how do I clean them?

Hi,

I just bought my first sets of clear stamp... I take they are polymer stamps, they stick pretty well on teh back on the acrylic block...

I got these from Martha Stewart collection... A bird set and a camellia flower set... I also got some of her ink...

So I've been trying all the stamps , and now they are all over my desk...and
I just realized that didn't buy any stamp cleaner...duhh..

My question is....Can I just wash the stamps under water with soap?

Monica

Yes, soap and water is great. Just make sure you use some kind of colander or something so you don't lose one down the drain.

I usually clean mine with whatever stamp cleaner I have around, except for Ultra Clean because I heard that can deteriorate the polymer. Not sure if that's true, but better safe than sorry. I've also used baby wipes.

Just leave then to air dry face down on a towel or paper towel and they'll be good as new once they're dry.

I have two types of cleaners on my work space for cleaning stamps. Diluted Simple Green for really stubborn stains, and a tub of baby wipes. Both work equally well but the wipes are the easiest.

DON"T use Stazon cleaner...or any other solvent-based cleaner. Plain old soap and water is really the best.

I thought I read somewhere to make sure the baby wipes are alcohol and lanolin free. Either one of those ingredients can be bad on the clear polymer. I wish I could remember where I read that.....
