Today, I noticed our dog had a tiny bit of glitter on her back, and my first thought was 'awwww, doesn't she look good in sparkles! Wonder if I can get a photo and scrap it?'
I use glitter every way that it can be used, and even more ; ) I love to use glitter with clear packing tape, ie, put the tape behind a cut out heart with an open area, sticky side up, sprinkle with glitter and you have a great glitter object.

My favourite way to use glitter is also the most boring, mundane way: to put it on cards. I LOVE putting stickles on images of flowers, insect/fairy wings, dresses, words, etc. etc. <happy sigh>
I'm not sure it's my favorite way, but I made a card the other day using the Glitter Puzzle Technique (which was totally new to me) and I loved the way it came out.

I like to go around the embossed border on my nesties shape with a glue pen, and then sprinkle on glitter. It looks so pretty!
I recently made a mermaid card, and I cut several layers of Kraft cardstock for sand. I randomly drew patches with the glue pen, and added gold glitter. Then I made more marks, and added clear glitter. It came out very nicely!

Similar to SanJoseLady, only I use double-sided tape for borders and sheets for punching shapes - Deconstructed Shamrock
And when I have time to spare for drying, I really like the glitter stained glass technique - Glitter Ornaments the Tree by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers. Not the example I was looking for, which was a fish...
But mostly I like Stickles because when I use loose glitter it does, as we all know, get where you don't want it .
Sabrina, I love that 'deconstructed shamrock', and that technique--I call it pave' diamonds. Just love how the glitter picks up the cardstock color. . . . .
I recently glittered chipboard letters by running them thru my Xyron 900. It worked really well- I piled the glitter on, with the letter on a piece of folded paper, covered it, then brayer it so it would really stick.
Held up better than I expected.
good ideas! i don't get to use much glitter except on cards or projects - i have 2 boys and they aren't partial to glittery layouts! LOL!
i'd forgotten about the xyron technique! it's amazing all the "good ideas" we forget about until someone mentions them again. and the packing tape under a punchout is a good idea too!
i usually use glue gloss to apply glitter, i can get it where i want it, it dries clear and the glitter really STICKS!
i also like using design adhesives, they are like rub ons except they are sticky, so when you remove the backing, you can sprinkle glitter on the design. they look great and everyone will wonder how you made that design in glitter! my fave technique with them is to use different colors of glitter to really make the design come alive.

That's why you use glitter in someone else's craft room. ;)
LOL... did that already. The very first time I ever stamped I went to a Make & Take at a SU Demos house and got glitter everywhere. She still gives me the stink-eye when we stamp together and use glitter!
EVERYWHERE lol - I love glitter - I always am covered in it as I use it on almost everything I make - even the cat trots around with glitter shimmers in her fur when she sleeps in my craft room
My all time favorite is with the heat and stick powder. Having an image that is totally done in glitter is so fabulous - of course that only is for colored glitter or if I have used Craft pad ink in a color/heat and stick/Dazzling Diamonds. People are always amazed and think I went over the image in glue by hand, LOL.
