I cannot part with any of my paper. It took me a long time to get all the colors and I may need them one day. Besides, I cannot afford to get all the new colors to replace them.
Since I am no longer an SU demo and I stamp for myself/fun/relaxation I will hang onto them. I really wish I could stock up on some colors but right now extra spending is not in the budget.
I'm with you, Sherry. Wish I had the money to purchase all the new colors and/or stock up on the retiring ones BUT I don't so I am hanging on to most everything until its gone!!
I will love and use every sheet of every cardstock I have until it is all gone... the same with the inks.. then I will sniff.
I love having tons of color choices and have stocked up on all retiring and in-colors.
I've already pulled out the colors that are going; I will sell off all the retired cardstock and maybe the coordinating reinkers once July 1st comes around. If I didn't use it much to begin with, I won't start now.
I'm not getting rid of any of them! For a lot of them, like Handsome Hunter and Bravo Burgundy, for example, I only have 1 or 2 sheets left. But I use a lot of colors and can't see getting rid of any--DSP either. I even have 2 unopened packages of the very first In-Colors....I'm a hoarder, but I enjoy every bit of it!

I pulled out the colors, too, but I am holding on to yoyo yellow, only orange, brilliant blue and taken with teal.
And, after much personal debate and research of other options, I have decided to stick with SU! paper even though they are increasing the price and in some cases decreasing the number of sheets in a package. I know the quality is good and the inks match well with the paper. I can see the colors at my demo's house before I buy.

No offense to anyone, but I am mystified why people feel they want to get rid of things because they are retired, unless you really just don't like them anymore. I am more the type who would stock up on them rather than get rid of them.
I have to agree. They may retire from SU but they don't retire in my stamp room. I will use them until they are gone. Retired does not mean unuseable in my book!!! I will keep everything I have and use them as needed or inspired and when they match design papers I still have hoarded for years.

I wish Bravo Burgundy WOULD retire. I hate that color. I have no idea why I bought it. Anyone want a pack of cardstock and an ink pad in that color? Lol!
I only stocked up on Close to Cocoa. I love In Colors and usually get those every year. I wish Kiwi Kiss would come back. I loved that color and I think I have half a sheet left (and I can't bring myself to use it!)

That's one of my DD's high school colors, so I'm glad it's not retiring. I also love it with Bordering blue (but that is retiring) and silver for wintery cards...so pretty!
Chocolate Chip and Mellow Moss are my favorite two that are retiring. I bought 4 packages of Mellow Moss 6 weeks ago and just got them yesterday! Not sure why I didn't order Chocolate Chip!!

Choc chip is not retiring...
As for me, since I am not a demo, I am hoarding all my retiring papers. I do love Brilliant Blue for boy cards and scrapping - sad to see that one go. It was one of the first colors I bought when I started using SU! years ago...

I have no reason to purge!!! I LOVE my retired colors! I'll use them till they are gone. I stocked up on Almost Amethysist, Bordering Blue, and that light green...is it Green Galore?

I guess that's why I didn't order it - for some reason I thought it was.

Gable Green...and I like that one too. I am really happy with the in colors that are coming back, but I do love my Purely Pomegranate. Glad I stocked up on that while I could. Now if only I could USE my paper instead of hoarding it all!!

I think that's why I bought it; for Christmas cards. I didn't like it once I got it though. I'll send you my stock! Lol!
Did any of you Ballet Blue and Summer Sun lovers see that they have it on the Clearance rack...I think it was $1.49 per package for 8.5 x 11 cardstocks...I know I got a bunch...blessings.
I'm not proud , vain or a purest. But I am a fanatic for colors. So I would never get rid of anything, someday it will be the 'perfect' color for a project.
I'm getting rid of all cardstocks, inks, refills, crayons etc that are retiring - it's taken me hours and hours to get everything out and sort thru it all but I have just so much stuff that I want a clean slate to start the new catalog...
I have sorted everything into grab bags and am going to be giving them away to customers...I want to make room for the new stuff and clearing out felt sooo good
I know the companies want to make money and new colors are nice, but I refuse to give up any of the colors of any of the inks that I love! I hop I don't run out of my favorites either!

I couldn't part with the old colors. For one thing, I spent lots of good money on them. And the other thing: I like most of those colors, so I still use them. And yes, I did buy most of the new colors.
I'll keep what I have and use it until it is gone. I didn't invest in any of the new colors since I very rarely use SU inks (if at all) there is no reason to buy the papers, etc..
I will miss Brilliant Blue when I run out... it is such a perfect blue for little boy and patriotic cards. It is such a basic blue I was really surprised they retired it.
