I would never have thought about cutting the number out- just not inking that part of the image, or wiping it away before stamping! I'd want to do a lot of calendars to justify the cost...

Well, SU itself doesn't make water colour pencils. Maybe the company they get them from doesn't offer the service of exact colour matches to SU colours.
