Default HELP-- Need Christmas Religious background stamp

Hi all-- I am a new stamper and don't know where to turn. I am looking for a "background" stamp for a 3.5 X5 or 5x5 card. I would like one that shows the "for God so loved the world that he gave his only son"-- or "and the babe was found in a manger"-- I was hoping to use the scripture as backgrouund for a nativity stamp that I bought (which I love).. any idea of where I can find a stamp like this ? I tried to "google" it .. with no success. Am assuming that there is such a stamp ? ;)

This site carries a bunch of religious designs, but not sure if it has what you are looking for. If not, maybe you'll find a good substitute.

Here is another one, but I don't think it's big enough:
John 3:16 Clear Acrylic Stamp, Clear Dollar Stamps by Lori McCroskey

What you might consider is printing the background verse onto the cardstock before stamping. You might need to play with the settings to get the right color and density, though.

I found some really nice paper at Hobby Lobby. I remember it had the 3 wise men, Peace on Earth and Unto us born this day. Ummm and some other scripture that I can't remember and the north star and candles.
Do you have one near you? Maybe that will work for you.

If you can't find a background already printed, or a suitable stamp like you describe, perhaps you could get a stamp with just the verse and then make your own background by stamping it multiple times.

chedges,

I have often made my own background paper when I can't find what I want. Just type it all up on your computer, select a font and color that you like and print on cardstock. You won't get as many backgrounds out of a 8 1/2 X 11 sheet, but it will have the wording you want. You could also print it on colored cardstock too. Not too long ago I need an "Ohio State" wording background. I chose phrases that I liked, "Go Bucks," "#1 Fan," "OSU" and "Ohio State Buckeyes." I just kept copying and pasting all the way down the page. Make your margins as narrow as possible to fill the sheet as close to the edge as you can. I printed my OSU background in red and it looked totally cool in my project. The possibilities are endless. You can also use Distress Pads or any ink pads to add interest to your paper before putting it though the printer. Just an idea.

Hi, there is a rubber stamp company called Biblical Impressions

Rubber Stamps by Biblical Impressions - unmounted rubber stamps, gold leafing, card making supplies

and they have alot of Christian stamps that might interest you. They also have another company called Eureka stamps and they have a background stamp of Luke 2.

Eureka Rubber Stamps

I haven't ordered from them in a long time, but they used to have really fair pricing and shipping.
