Pat is hosting this weeks lovely "birds" teaparty for Kristine, a dear friend of Jean aka jkanack.
Thanks to Jean's Tickle a Teapotter challenge last week, I fell down a rabbit hole and I am still exploring the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi. Unlike last weeks brusho background, this one had an interesting looking spray pattern and didn't actually need "repairing", but I'm completely hooked on this fun technique. I limited the amount of gold leaf I applied, so as not to detract from the brushos spray pattern.
I sprayed the background with sheer shimmer gold craft spray, it doesn't photograph well, but the sparkle in real life is subtle and beautiful.
Kristine likes blue and purple, so I die cut a blueberry box (thank you very much Aldi) and added a few metalic paper punched leaves.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to send some sunshine to Kristine.

gorgeous brusho serendipities, mf! I love your 'Aldi art', we call him Trader Jose out West...but no matter, they have the best graphic art to repurpose! I can almost fall down your bg hole...really lovely.

Gorgeous card Susie and I also am hooked on the kintsugi technique and want to use it more. Love your Aldi touch.....I’d stock up on those blueberry boxes....the loo rolls and all consumables are gone in our supermarket lol. Our blueberry boxes are plastic. Keep well and safe my mate over East. TFS. Happy day

You may stay in that rabbit hole as long as you like, Susie. I could be there with you. Kris will be astonished. I have often sent her my cards, especially since she has had a hard time talking on the phone. Your card is stunning.

I wish I could get my gold leafing to look so random, I must go back to your other card because I am sure you described how you added it there. This is beautiful, the gold looks fab on the background. So does your blueberry bluebird. I'm still waiting for an Aldi to open within walking distance; I an get to four LIDLs easily but Aldi requires a drive.
