Pat is hosting this weeks lovely "birds" teaparty for Kristine, a dear friend of Jean aka jkanack.
Thanks to Jean's Tickle a Teapotter challenge last week, I fell down a rabbit hole and I am still exploring the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi. Unlike last weeks brusho background, this one had an interesting looking spray pattern and didn't actually need "repairing", but I'm completely hooked on this fun technique. I limited the amount of gold leaf I applied, so as not to detract from the brushos spray pattern.
I sprayed the background with sheer shimmer gold craft spray, it doesn't photograph well, but the sparkle in real life is subtle and beautiful.
Kristine likes blue and purple, so I die cut a blueberry box (thank you very much Aldi) and added a few metalic paper punched leaves.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to send some sunshine to Kristine.

What a fabulous, gorgeous background you've created for this card! Just awesome!

Oh, wow! This is stunning! I just love what you did with the Kintsugi challenge. I love the meaning behind Kintsugi and I love the art. Your card is breathtaking!
