Pat is hosting this weeks lovely "birds" teaparty for Kristine, a dear friend of Jean aka jkanack.
Thanks to Jean's Tickle a Teapotter challenge last week, I fell down a rabbit hole and I am still exploring the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi. Unlike last weeks brusho background, this one had an interesting looking spray pattern and didn't actually need "repairing", but I'm completely hooked on this fun technique. I limited the amount of gold leaf I applied, so as not to detract from the brushos spray pattern.
I sprayed the background with sheer shimmer gold craft spray, it doesn't photograph well, but the sparkle in real life is subtle and beautiful.
Kristine likes blue and purple, so I die cut a blueberry box (thank you very much Aldi) and added a few metalic paper punched leaves.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to send some sunshine to Kristine.

Beautiful! I love that the background is your focal and I still have not looked up how that is done. It's definitely something I have to try. Your die cuts are the perfect images for this too. This is just gorgeous, Susie!

My eyes say thanks for treating them to this real beauty. You really make beautiful bgs. The added gold is the frosting on the cake. TFS Kristine will love this.

The movement in your bg is phenomenal and the splashes of gold leaf just enhance that. The leaves & branches on your bird perch have that same bent and windblown movement - Very artistic.

You must have a magic wand Susie because I have never gotten brusho's to look even remotely this fabulous! I am super de duper impressed! So much so that I gasped when I opened this gorgeous card of yours up to a bigger image. I love the touches of gold on here too. Then I had to chuckle about you using a blueberry box from Aldi for the punched leaves- ha! You are beyond creative my friend! Kristine is going to swoon when she pulls this beautiful/stunning card out of the envelope! ~Karen.
