I love this!

This will help me use up my bits and pieces much faster. I might put the white embossed panel on a colored card stock that coordinates though.

New stampers in SW Washington?

I’m downsizing my craft stash and would dearly love to gift some stuff to somebody who’s fairly new to stamping, doesn’t have a ton of stuff yet, and maybe has to budget so it would take them a while...

“Forced” Inspiration

I find what works for me is volunteering to make some cards for somebody. Once I “have to” get in the craft room and do something it usually jump starts me.

Figurative speech

This has always been my interpretation. If you aimed a rocket at the moon and missed it, your rocket would still be above the atmosphere and among the field of stars as seen from here on earth. I...

Mosaic stamp

I love this as a layout for paper piecing. What I’m looking for at this point is something without the overlap. A search for “printable mosaic template” gave a lot of results for things that looked...

These ones

Yes. How would I describe them as a whole to do a search, or does anyone know of similar printable templates?

Segmented card borders?

This is just the kind of thing I meant. I did search for “printable quilt template for greeting cards” but just got a lot of images of different quilt blocks.

What to call this style of stamp?

Over the years I used to see full-card sized stamps that were simply a set of decorative borders partitioning the front of a card into various rectangular sections that you’d decorate/fill with other...

Saved for years - using now!

I’ve been saving my bits and pieces for the last 10 years (had a 10-year hiatus before that) and never got around to using them while I continued to collect new stamps and embellies. A couple years...

You could try a mix

One thing to try would be to get some new clear EP and mix some in with an old powder to see if it would be enough to “refresh” the meltability. It’s painful to lose a whole variety of colors and...

You can also stamp on some ribbon

When you find a type of ribbon that’s the width and weight you like, try the marker coloring, the ink dying, and also stamping on it. A smooth finish ribbon may let you do all three. If you find...

Favorite Color Approach

I took a different startup approach. My favorite color was blue, and I knew I'd want to make a lot of blue cards. So I started with a couple blue ink pads that would work together and coordinating...

Another ribbon nut!

I'm building a list of ways to use scrap pieces of ribbon. I hate to trim the ends of a bow or reach the end of a spool, only to have short bits of beautiful ribbon "wasted." I'd been putting the...

Another folding diecutter

My SO's mom bought an even sleeker-looking version, but it wasn't a Big Shot brand. She's U.S. She had to get all new platforms, though. Not sure if the BS model would let you use existing...

Healing Big Shot plates

I've seen instructions online for "healing" the plates by heating them in the oven. I haven't tried it, but a friend says it works like a charm.

Using up patterned paper

I definitely find my tastes changing in patterned papers. But I've decided to use the ones I don't care for anyway. And I sometimes find myself loving the results! A patterned layer underneath...
