I'd be careful when using alcohol markers like Copics over Gesso. The first coat is probably fine, but if you try blending or layering too many coats, the binder in the gesso may start breaking down...

On darker colors, if you only color with the very tip of the brush and never the sides of the brush, then the ink can clog...

There are refills for any color of any Copic marker. The Ciao do not come in all the colors the Sketch do, but if it is a Copic marker of any kind, it is refillable.
