This wasn't difficult, just time consuming, which is why I may never be a watercolorist. Too impatient! But I'm determined to persevere, if only to improve my patience.
The partial circle in the upper right used the scrape painting technique. I wasn't very careful, too much paint, couldn't find my nice acrylics so used craft paints, TOO MUCH PAINT!!!!! The background is stripes of Distress ink in coffee colors.
I stamped the cups with the Distress linen, although I'm not sure that those lines truly disappeared. I tried to cover them with shading. My watercoloring will always be pretty loose, not perfect, a little goofy. I like goofy. Added a little bit of gold gel pen to some details. I did have a lot of fun with this card.

I agree with everything Brenda said! I too would love those cup stamps. And your scrape painting is the perfect coffee stained circle for the cup! Gorgeous colors and such a fun card!

I think this is absolutely fabulous! I adore the colors you used! I love that you used the paint scraping technique! It looks amazing with this design. I LOVE cups IRL that have fun designs so this card totally grabs me!

The layout may not have had a lot of fiddly details but your completed composition sure does! Patience is growing by the minute. I particularly like the gold gel pen details. The turquoise that pulls all the cups together also give it a Santa Fe, NM feel. Very earthy. Love your work, Jean.

Totally fun mugs - both the color and the designs suggest Fiestaware and I can just see them around a patio table for a mid morning coffe-klatch with neighborhood friends.
