Hurrah for a day off today - I was able to try it. I don't like that I have big spots where I dotted the colour onto the card, but I have the same thing when I try the paint swiping tutorial, and I've tried it on several different cardstocks with the same result. I need to try with gesso, I think, to make the card less absorbent. Whenever I have more time....
I stamped the big flower in the corner, and dotted the blossoms with white gel pen and then Stickles. I used some chunky Aged Teal ep, but I think I missed out on the teal, it looks mostly gold. I added a sentiment die-cut from gold glitter card and shadowed with black, and then coloured the leaves of the flowers with a green gel pen since they were still on my desk from yesterday. Doodled a border with black pen and added the image panel. |
