This journal page is for my mate, Stamperrobin's fun Free for All challenge. After seeing the challenge sample cards, you have probably guessed that Robin, Francie and I are "everything but the kitchen sink" kinda girls.
The background was made using the "Cling Wrap" technique found in the SCS Tutorial section, with a few changes to the ingredients. I used Brusho powder as the colour medium and Ironing Spray Starch instead of water (which my sweet sistah from anudder mudder told me about).
Ironing spray (just an el cheapo version of Fabulon) is lovely sprayed on Distress Inks, Dylusions Ink Spray and Brusho's, instead of water. The mist is super fine and not as wet as water.
The image is a digi by Vera Lane, she comes with 5 ugly Christmas jumpers. I love ugly Christmas jumpers but we never get to wear them here, last Christmas day the temp hit 109F.
The girls legs and boots are homemade and I changed their hairstyle a bit. The girls have been fussy cut and added to the background after I stamped on some branches and added liquid pearl drops.
Thanks so much for looking, I hope you get some crafty time and join in.

Susie, is that the same girl stamped multiply times? If so you are even more amazing than I ever even imagined! Goodness, you are so creative, you are so good at making the legs and shoes/boots. Genius mate! The hair styles make them look sooo different! They are all so amazing! LOVE those cute "ugly" sweaters...too bad it's hot in December down under. I used to have this adorable 4th of July sweater I was NEVER able to wear...what was I thinking buying a sweater that had to be worn in July! July is our hottest month typically. My question now is, why would ANYONE make a 4th of July sweater anyway!
Anyway, Love your bg too and I love how you use the ironing spray for other than the plastic wrap technique...that's awesome (I keep forgetting!)
Fantastic artwork mate!

Oh I just love this...the bright colors are marvelous. I would wear any one of those fun sweaters. The boots and legs turned out so cute and the big eyed girls are adorable. It looks like they are on their way to ss fun holuday party.

Your background fits perfectly with your girls! I read Robins note, amazing masking to use one girl and give it a look of a lot of friends. Love all the hair styles and boots! Gorgeous! You are one talented lady!

Oh, but I wouldn't call any of those sweaters ugly! I'd wear the stripy one and the Nordic one, and maybe even the snowman one. I have a big outsize chunky sweater which I wear up in my attic now it's getting colder, not nearly as nice as these. And your background is, as always, full of wonderful detail.

Smiling here....your cards do that to me. The details you put into your cards are fantastic. Like how the eye color matches their sweater. Cute hair do's, especially the one with the bad hair day. Your fussy cutting is top notch. TFS

I love all these ugly "jumpers". I guess this is the only time of year it's "cool" to look goofy (For me, it's all year!). I love your fun bg and the coloring of those interesting people!!
