This journal page is for my mate, Stamperrobin's fun Free for All challenge. After seeing the challenge sample cards, you have probably guessed that Robin, Francie and I are "everything but the kitchen sink" kinda girls.
The background was made using the "Cling Wrap" technique found in the SCS Tutorial section, with a few changes to the ingredients. I used Brusho powder as the colour medium and Ironing Spray Starch instead of water (which my sweet sistah from anudder mudder told me about).
Ironing spray (just an el cheapo version of Fabulon) is lovely sprayed on Distress Inks, Dylusions Ink Spray and Brusho's, instead of water. The mist is super fine and not as wet as water.
The image is a digi by Vera Lane, she comes with 5 ugly Christmas jumpers. I love ugly Christmas jumpers but we never get to wear them here, last Christmas day the temp hit 109F.
The girls legs and boots are homemade and I changed their hairstyle a bit. The girls have been fussy cut and added to the background after I stamped on some branches and added liquid pearl drops.
Thanks so much for looking, I hope you get some crafty time and join in.

What can I say..these are BRILLIANT! I love all these girls (esp the ones with green eyes..like me!)...and I would totally wear any of these sweaters...not ugly at all and this time of year where I live you need all the warmth you can get (just put on my flannel sheets today)...

This is some awesome piece of artwork, my friend!! You did a remarkable job with one stamp! The girls are striking with different hair styles and those long legs and gorgeous boots! You created a striking background for them! I think that "Leg Lady" would be a nice name for you!!! How does that sound?? Susie, you know I love you, sweet lady!!

There is so much going on in this delightful page. You always amaze me with your inclusion of techniques and how you get them to work so well together. I miss a lot about Australia but there is something magical about a white and winter Christmas here in the Canada!
Adorable!!! I love their eyes!! You have decked them out in gorgeous sweaters!! 109!!! Yikes! We don't get super cold but we get cold enough most winters to drag out our sweaters!!!

AMAZING! I so love your card...amazing additions and elaborations you have made to make each girl look different...great hair changes, long Pippy legs and goulashes! Vibrant colors are so eye-catching! I was so curious had to go to Vera Lane and see that she/they looked like before.

I love this, Susie. Great image and super combination of girls and doodles and stamps and coloring and techniques. Super fun page!!!! You could always do ugly Christmas T-shirts - we do that here in the deep South. LOL
