So....I have been stalling on starting on Christmas cards and I came to the realization that I don't have much time left to get them all done. Here is the first of many! When I saw today's Ways To Use It challenge (use cracking in your project design) I knew that I had to use my Winter Post set. I thought that the cracked glass technique would be perfect with the vintage images in this set. A tutorial for the technique can be found here: Cracked Glass Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. I sponged close to cocoa ink over the cracks to give it a distressed look. I colored the image with my aqua painter and various ink pads. I created the ice with my aqua painter and soft sky ink. On the inside of the card, I adhered a whisper white panel for writing. I stamped the snowflake (from Winter Post) in bashful blue and the "Season's Greetings" sentiment from Many Merry Messages in close to cocoa ink.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks so much for mentioning the tutorial. Today was the first day I ever heard of cracking. It's such a neat technique, and your card looks absolutely awesome!

Love the color combo here. Very pretty. I am surprised at how much I am loving this set. It didn't strike me at first, but now it's my fave from the mini.
