I don't consider my stamps an investment . . . just pure fun and enjoyment. And I don't get that same enjoyment from ANY clear stamps. I have plenty of the "good" ones and they're still not anywhere...

It depends on what I'm using it for. I love to use textured cardstock as the base of my scrapbook pages and sometimes for card bases too. If I'm stamping, I'll almost always reach for smooth.
