Is there a tutorial on here regarding inks?

I've looked and can't seem to come up with anything...
What I'm looking for is a description of the various inks (dye, pigment, chalk, etc.) and what they are best used for. Do you know of anywhere...

Thanks for all the advice! I do already have a simple Fiskars trimmer with the ruler that comes out, but love hearing about all these other options. I'll look into them & see what works best......
