I've done it both ways & had cracking each way. It's an intermittent thing for me, I'd say cracking happens ~ 10% or so of the time.

I have ordered twice. They pack everything very well. If there is a problem, they fix it (they were VERY good about replacing any broken cases). Plus I thought $78 for 100 was a great deal!
