I was delighted to be asked to be guest designer for Audrie's inspiration challenge. The sites she chooses are fantastic with so much to choose from. My inspiration is this one, the second image down with the baubles. It reminded me of a cool winter. The tree is made by gluing aluminum foil to cardstock, wrinkling it, adding paint and wiping it off. It was then die cut and inlaid into the card. Using a torn piece of paper I sponged in my clouds with different shades of memento ink and the snow is done the same way, a bit lighter using only a faint amount of London Fog. The word was die cut and inlaid with the same foil. Marbled half pearls were added to the tree. Thanks for stopping by and thanks Audrie for such a wonderful site.

Nancy this is truly amazing. I love how the horizon just melts into the landscape. Such a familiar sight during a snow storm in the dead of winter. And tin foil - really? How clever is that! A wonderful card :-)

Oh Nancy, this is just amazing...in fact, it looks like what heaven would be. What an incredible technique with the foil...I am sure I would end up with torn bits of foil everywhere and one big temper tantrum. You are the queen of awesome techniques, my friend. Pinned and faved.

This is an amazing technique, as I learned first hand from you in person! Love the 'cool' look of the aluminum to make this breathtaking winter scene, and the half pearls look marvelous !!
