I was delighted to be asked to be guest designer for Audrie's inspiration challenge. The sites she chooses are fantastic with so much to choose from. My inspiration is this one, the second image down with the baubles. It reminded me of a cool winter. The tree is made by gluing aluminum foil to cardstock, wrinkling it, adding paint and wiping it off. It was then die cut and inlaid into the card. Using a torn piece of paper I sponged in my clouds with different shades of memento ink and the snow is done the same way, a bit lighter using only a faint amount of London Fog. The word was die cut and inlaid with the same foil. Marbled half pearls were added to the tree. Thanks for stopping by and thanks Audrie for such a wonderful site.

I saw this IRL this past Wed when I was at Nancy's house. Don't worry - she can keep a secret and never said a word that this was her IC card. I can tell you that this is way more beautiful in person! Gosh! She can do amazing things with foil... and she's taught me how to make that foil too!! You can tell so much thought goes into each and every card Nancy makes. I'm so glad she's my friend and shares her knowledge so freely. GORGEOUS card, girlfriend.

I love the way you did the tree and the addition of the paint which you then wiped away is brilliant! The marble pearls in the darker color are amazing and so creatively used on this. And then there's your sponging...totally (insert every superlative you can think of)!! The clouds are subtle in color and the shading gives them such depth! Once again Nancy you've created a masterpiece!

WOWZERS...so cool what you made with the foil, I have treid using t before, but so tender, and silly me never thought of gluing it onto cardstock first. LOve it, and your soft bg shading...TFS.. will have to try that sometime, you now have ME inspired...TY...:0)
