 | | You're probably wondering who Jen Barney is...if you aren't, you should be.
Jen Barney is a baker who has a shop in downtown LaCrosse, WI (where I live) and she won three of the Holiday Baking Championships on Food Network. Her shop is called Merigue; it's a tiny shop but very mighty with her delicious and beautiful cakes, cookies, breakfast bakery and sundry other items. During the competitions, she always tried to use Wisconsin products, like cranberries (we grow the most in the country, btw) and Westby sour cream, made very close to LaCrosse.
I tried to find some specific bakery that she made during the competitions on the website but I didn't have any luck. So here are photos from her Facebook page and a photo of her. https://www.meringuebakery.org/custom-cakes

And here is a photo of a macaron recipe from the website:https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/...carons-3362691
She does have macarons in her bakery. You need to try her flourless chocolate cake. If you come visit me, I promise I will take you to the bakery. Thanks for the challenge!
Very hard to take a photo of this card. There is another panel on the other side of the label with more macarons. Does the card need a little something else? |
