I made this card for VSN Challenge by Jeanette. Sometimes when I don't feel like coloring, I stamp my image with water-based colored ink and spread some of the lines with a water pen to color the image. I used vellum to soften the background paper.

The soft wash of color gives the image a relaxed, lived‑in feel that suits the sentiment perfectly. The vellum overlay adds just the right amount of calm to the patterned paper, letting the focal point shine without losing the energy of the background. A great balance of texture, tone, and mood.
