CC1061 Iconic Card 2
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: DCinkit

This is my second card is for the Color Challenge hosted by Barbara and our month long special dessert option: Christmas in July. Barbara chose four bright, happy colors: Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, and Pool Party.

Check out my Card 1 to see how I created these circles. I stamped the iconic images in multiples & die-cut them out. First, I attached a strip that had been trimmed away from the edge. Then matching up the circle colors & stripes as best I could, I glued them to the card base. I stamped the three words from the Iconic Imagery set and used a die from the coordinating set. On each circle, I attached a word banner and an image. I used Mini Dimensionals to pop up the images.

I stamped a Merry Christmas from another set. I found one with dots to coordinate with the word banners. I die-cut it into a banner and glued it to the card base. The final touch was gems from my stash.

I posted two cards of the cards I made. Since I had four panels cut from the full sheet, I had four sets of circles, so I was able to make 8 cards total. All from one sheet of glued strips.

We hope you will join in with Christmas in July and have fun with these fabulous colors! TFL

Oh, I like this one as well. Another creative way to use the circles cut from card 1 and I like the little side strip. Getting 8 cards is a plus for Christmas.

How cute is this with the circles and banners? Darn cute. I'm amazed how different the cards look using the positive and negative die cuts. Super card. TFS

Wow I love this one best- the subtle stripes down the side and behind the images showcases the actual images so well - I love it!!

This is a clever idea, one I might try for a Christmas card swap! I like the die cut circles and the lovely images.

Wonderful 2 cards with the positive/negative approaches, Diane. I favor this one since it is a little calmer with the stripes as an accent rather than a bg. Well done on both of them.
