A birthday gift which has now arrived. I bought a book of kirigami birds in France last year - so now I've done one of the hummingbirds, a parrot (not yet made up into a card but needs to be!) and this. The pattern even includes some sunflower seeds to cut and contour, so the shadow box was perfect for letting me place them in the frame ready to be nibbled. Some very old DP made the perfect background.

As usual I just learned something.
I never heard of Kirigami (I had origami). And the sample pic in Wiki surprised me because I had played with paper cutting in that way many years ago and did not know it was called that! I think my tutorial book called it paper cutting or origami...
I love this shadow box. You are so good at making those! The seeds are a great detail. The bird looks terrific and that is pretty DP.

In think that parrot is a cockatiel - specially seeing that it has a little red cheek. Very lifelike.
