Congrats to Renata (Renata Joynderis) our newest Featured Stamper!
I enjoyed looking through her gallery and was inspired to CASE her Hello Butterflies card.
Instead of die cut butterflies I used a dragonfly collage stamp.
I used similar bright colors using Alcohol Inks that I blew around on a piece of Yupo white card.
I used the alcohol lift technique - after the alcohol inks on my panel of yupo were dry - I inked up my stamp with Alcohol Lift Ink and stamped it onto the AI background and pressed gently. I lifted the stamp off and quickly stamped it onto a piece of white card to get a stamping from what was left on the stamp.
I pressed a soft cloth over my stamped AI Yupo panel and rubbed over the image. I removed the cloth and then rubbed over the whole panel with a soft cloth and the image appears!
I used a die cut hello similar to Renata's.
I added enamel dots instead of sequins.
I did not use a lacey edge or any other layers.
Enjoy your week in the FS gallery Renata!

This is striking! Great use of colour. The alcohol-lift technique makes the dragonfly look so mysterious, and begs the question 'how did you do that?' I'd have never guessed without the description. Thank you!
Julia, this is just spectacular! I love the subtle image of the dragonfly within the alcohol inked BG! Wonderful colors! I'll have to give your technique a try, as I've tried the AI lift before, but wasn't too impressed with the result!

I love this. I've never used Yupo paper. Maybe I should learn about this technique. BEAUTIFUL card. I love how the image looks and the colors are so vibrant.

Gorgeous AI and a gorgeous collage stamp that looks stunning. I love the alcohol lift technique but haven't been successful when I tried. Maybe I didn't rub enough. So thanks for describing that and I will give that a try. This is one eye catching beauty of a card, Julia.

Julia, this is a stunning card. I hate to admit I have not heard of the alcohol lift product but I sure do love how wonderful it worked on your fantastic colored background. This card is so striking with the white background layer and the die cut sentiment is perfect. I LOVE THIS!!!!!
