Thank you for the color challenge of Granny Apple, Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody, Karen. For dessert add anything. I chose sponging over an embossed image.
You know, sometimes you have an idea in mind and suddenly you realize what you have created is not what you had imagined. This is one of those cards. I am sharing it because I got it done but not because I particularly like it. There was a bit too much white space at the bottom so I tried filling in the large gap with additional sponging. Aarghâ¦it is what it is.

You are so funny...I do that second guessing also. Your card is fabulous! Love all your techniques with the sponging and ribbon color too. Those dies have the best sentiments...love, love your design.

So pretty in the challenge colors. I like the dainty die-cuts, the textures and the sponging. The flax ribbon is terrific. I could relate to your description of your card not turning out as you thought. Glad you posted it. I like it!

I know that feeling when a card doesn't even come close to the idea I had in my head, but trust me when I say this is wonderful. I love the soft sponging over the embossed areas and the delicate blooms and butterfly. The textured ribbon is perfect to focus the eye and ground those images. I think if you look at this with "fresh eyes" not clouded by your intent, you will see what a lovely and wonderful card it is too.
