This week the Tea Potters are sending warm wishes to Joyce who has suffered a major stroke and is going through intensive rehab. When I think of "warm" I think of tropical islands. And, when I think of tropical islands, I think of Hawaii. Joyce loves flowers so I used a Hawaiian flower -- Hibiscus.
To make this card, I stamped the flowers/leaves and then used the coordinating stencil to ink blend the colors. There are some delicate parts to this stencil so it was more daubing than blending, unfortunately. I ink blended a scrap of white cs with the same inks and the cut the sentiment stacking it three times. I also clear embossed the sentiment twice to give it some sheen and make it stand out a bit more. I did emboss the white panel for a bit of texture and added the nuvo drops to fill some of the white space.
My heart goes out to Joyce going through this difficult and life-changing situation. I hope our cards give her a warm feeling of support and encouragement. I hope all of you enjoy a warm feeling of love and support this week too. TFL

Your extra steps on the sentiment and flowers were well worth it! This is beautiful, Debbie, and makes me think of a warm tropical breeze. Wonderful card for Joyce!

Oh, I know what you mean. I have a couple of stencils with very fine detail, and I usually just sort of stipple them, I think it's easiest- or at least safest. I think your hibiscus are so pretty, and I love the ombre effect plus shine in the sentiment.
