Today's Tea Party is for Carol in California. She is a hairdresser who is starting radiation for breast cancer. Lisa has challenged us to use scissors on our cards. I wanted to stamp out a scissors background, but I don't like my scissors stamps. They're too ornate for a hairdresser, much more appropriate for a seamstress. But I did USE scissors to paper-piece the dress on this cute doll. She was on my to do list and I thought she looked so nice with her hair done up with little bows that she would be good for Carol. The plaid paper that I used for this had the houndstooth on the back and I wanted to incorporate both patterns into the card. I hope Carol can feel my warm hug all the way from the opposite coast.

I love your idea of paper piecing for your "cutting " element for this challenge. This little doll is adorable in this perfect plaid dress!

Lisa, your card brought a big smile to my face! How adorable is your little girl with the pretty paper pieced dress and bows. How I love the matching die cut word and the hounds-tooth trim!
