Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week. Her colors work perfectly for a masculine card, which is exactly what I need. They are Cinnamon Cider, Soft Seafoam and Mossy Meadow. Dessert is something pink, but alas! Pink does not go with a masculine card, so no dessert for me this week. ;-)
I started by squirting alcohol blending solution on a piece of Yupo paper, then dripping three shades of green and one gold alloy alcohol ink on the paper. I used my hand-held blower to move the ink around and blend the colors a bit, and then let it dry. Next, I stamped the three leaf sprigs from "Be Kind," right onto the inked paper and fussy cut them out.
On a separate piece of Soft Seafoam paper I stamped the "You Are" background with Mossy Meadow ink, then inked the edges with the same ink. This panel is 4" x 5-1/4" and it is layered onto a card base of Cinnamon Cider.
The greeting comes from a booklet of stickers. This card is going to a young man who has been struggling a bit with all the Covid restrictions. It is so hard for young people. I especially liked the sentiment strip I chose: "when nothing is sure, everything is possible."

this is a great masculine card Barbara- and I love the sentiment for your young recipient - your becoming quite an expert with all the mixed media you have been showing us.

Barbara you artistic design is perfect for a young man! I commend you on creating a masculine card so handsomely, I find them difficult to do. You've been doing such a great job of stepping outside the box with all your recent designs! Love them all!

Oh, Barbara, this is so wonderful. The vines look a lot like olive branches so this has a nice rustic feel to it. I love that you paired the leaves with a text background. And the way you created the flow of color is fabulous.
