Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week. Her colors work perfectly for a masculine card, which is exactly what I need. They are Cinnamon Cider, Soft Seafoam and Mossy Meadow. Dessert is something pink, but alas! Pink does not go with a masculine card, so no dessert for me this week. ;-)
I started by squirting alcohol blending solution on a piece of Yupo paper, then dripping three shades of green and one gold alloy alcohol ink on the paper. I used my hand-held blower to move the ink around and blend the colors a bit, and then let it dry. Next, I stamped the three leaf sprigs from "Be Kind," right onto the inked paper and fussy cut them out.
On a separate piece of Soft Seafoam paper I stamped the "You Are" background with Mossy Meadow ink, then inked the edges with the same ink. This panel is 4" x 5-1/4" and it is layered onto a card base of Cinnamon Cider.
The greeting comes from a booklet of stickers. This card is going to a young man who has been struggling a bit with all the Covid restrictions. It is so hard for young people. I especially liked the sentiment strip I chose: "when nothing is sure, everything is possible."

I never think to use alcohol inks for the color challenge. What a great idea!. The leaves are gorgeous and very vibrant. They look perfect against the inked background.

You used the challenge colors beautifully! Luv the design you created keeping to the organic beauty of the challenge colors. Very earthy and eye catching. Alcohol inks - I am impressed.
