Another card for "Spring Card Camp 2" at Online Card Classes. Ashley Tucker's lesson on Day 12 inspired the design.
I die cut 4 rectangles from each of 5 colors of cardstock scraps with the smallest "Small Stitched Rectangles" die. I used a panel of white cardstock I'd previously cut to 4x5-1/4" for my base. Positioning the rectangles proved to be the hardest--& longest--part. I added ATG adhesive to the back of each rectangle as I went, and just lightly tacked them in place, so I could pull them up if I needed to. And I needed to--several times! Finally, I got the pattern to where it looked good. I trimmed off the overhanging bits of the rectangles, and added liquid glue where they were popping up to adhere them permanently.
I stamped my greeting on white cardstock with Morning Mist ink. I cut that out with a "Labels Thirty-Seven" die, then ran it through my machine again with an embossing mat to deboss the edge. Finally, with the cardstock still in the die, I lightly inked the main part with Dried Marigold Distress ink, keeping the center lighter than the edges. I adhered that with foam tape, and mounted the panel to a white card base.
