Christmas Heart Wreath
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: pvilbaum

I made this caard to boost my Christmas Card Stash, but since there are no traditional colors in the CCC gallery this month, I am using it for my ABC challenge. I had cut the Blooming Heart thinlit in green and cut it down to a smaller heart for some other project. That left this nice Heart frame that I needed to do something with. So I made a simple card. I cut a scalloped stitched panel for the BG of my card and placed the heart where I wanted it to be and lightly marked with pencil. Then I removed the heart and stamped my greeting. I put the heart back in place and anywhere it covered part of the words of the greeting, I simply cut away a little of the frame. The two places where the line of the greeting went through the frame still, I used a marker and drew the line across the frame. I adhered the panel to the card base and stamped a greeting on another white panel for the inside of the card.

Very cool. I don't think I would have ever thought of cutting this down for your other project. Good save with the rest of it. Really works with that sentiment!

What a lovely heartfelt Christmas card this is Pat. I love the scalloped layer that showcases your lovely wreath and heartfelt sentiment. How nice to have a Christmas card done and the letter C too! ~Karen.

Pat, you have given us a new idea, cutting out that heart, making a frame for your words. So clever! Love the traditional colors, and the scallops! Lovely Christmas card.

How sweet to have the sentiment with the word heart in it smack dab in the middle of a heart, Pat! Great looking Christmas card~

This is so pretty, Pat! I love that you salvaged the frame and turned it into this beautiful Christmas card. What a lovely sentiment too.
