It's been a while since I tried Tim's alcohol ink plaid (his blog post with the how-to is HERE) as I tend to be frugal with my glossy card, but it was fun to revisit it. Unfortunately when I doodled on it with my pen (adding detailing to all the black stripes) after half an hour the white had turned pink. And you can't really go over doodling, as it's so free-hand. I did go over the bottom line of doodling with Enamel Accents but couldn't control the flow well enough. But, it's at the bottom of the card and balances the white poinsettia so I'll still be more than happy to send this. The poinsettia was cut from white card and covered with SN clear glitter pen, with bling for the centre. Both the foliages were cut from glitter card, and then I added lots of little white Enamel Accents dots. Edged with a gold leafing pen, and used a gold pen to draw a border on the base too.
I have a trimming from the alcohol ink panel, so I'm going to try my Posca pen on it and see if that stays white - otherwise I think a workable fixative is what's needed.
Thanks again for a fun challenge, Karen. I'm still not a natural doodler but thanks to various challenges it doesn't intimidate me as it used to.

I really like the look mf....I think you did a great job and the white at the bottom and the white dots just helps pull it all together with the white flower!!

I really like the plaid you made - the blended colors make it look like a warm wool scarf. I love those sparkly accent pieces; they help to add "happy" to the winter sentiment. TFS!

Oh, this turned out beautifully - I love the rich, dark colors - so cozy behind thatwhite poinsettia. I love the gold embossing and shimmery leaves, as well.

Beautiful card for Christmas. Love how that embossed sentiment just pops from your pretty plaid.

Sabrina, the colors look like a light is behind them - the glow of a fire. Wow - what a cool technique. Your doodling is awesome too. Super well done card. Hugz
