redi2stamp is the FS this week - I love Mary's cards and super sweet encouraging posts and comments. She has always been so supportive and I very excited she is this week's featured stamper.
Lovely use of leaves and very cool looking card so I couldn't resist using the Rooted in Nature stamp set I just got this week.
I used a different stamp set, added a punched border and some more layers. Plus I added twine, stenciling and splatter.
First I stamped the sentiment, then the tree ring from the set (used too light of ink so you can barely see it), them stamped a bunch of leaves in differnt colors. Added on some splatters of ink and water and finished off with some stenciling. Once that was all done, I punched the border, distressed the edges and matted the page like it was torn out of a journal.
Congrats Mary. Million of hugz!!!

Good job on your faux journal page - you sure had me fooled - the sponging really helps accentuate the look of a page torn from a wire bound book as does the wrapping of twine along the edge. Lovely combo of stamping & stenciling.

Nancy thanks for your kind words and for caseing one of my cards. I have my eye on that stamp set just for that stamp you used to make this "work" of art. Your card can be used for so many occasions, I especially like the artwork on the background!
