Spent a hour or more just reading through the site today - so many positive posts and creative things to decorate with or make or try. I was so impressed.
I was inspired to make this card by the various wreaths:
I did use the rectangles in the door as my inspiration for my bg. I color washed it in pink, then did black stripes, then did white stripes in all directions. Then did paint splatters and finally liked it after I sponged green ink around the edges. Stamped my sentiment in the middle.
Stamped a bunch of the fun leaves from the new Rooted in Nature SU! set. Stamped them in peeled paint and colored on some pink distress crayon I smudged with my finger. The fussy cut them all out, bent them in the middle and layered them. Fussy cut and water-colored the flowers.
Loved the site!

FABULOUS, Nancy! I got to say I LOVE your wreath that their idea of a wreath became! Your background "door" is perfect for your great three-dimensional wreath! All your painting, sponging, splattering, and smudging has created such a lovely work of art! A must for my FAVs!!

Nancy, I am speechless! Your time and attention to every detail and texture is AMAZING! I don't know how to do mixed media, so I really enjoy when I see one done so well. I am going to have to at least try to do a wreath, but that is as close as I can get to your masterpiece. Hugziz sis!

Nancy, this is awesome! I love the stripes you created in the background. Your leaves and flowers look beautiful. This had to take a lot of time with all the fussy cutting. Great job, as usual.

Oh, how fun! I totally missed the wreaths! Your wreath is gorgeous! I was pretty sure this was a Nancy card even before I pulled it up to take a closer look! Your dimension is wonderful!

Wowsers, Nancy! This is fabulous. I read your process and sat here thinking it would be a hoot to stamp with you. You are the queen of mixed media! This is so unique and creative! I bow to you for all that fussy cutting, coloring and shaping. Just Wow!
