It's time for a new Color Challenge! Mary is hosting this week and she has chosen Melon Mambo, Lemon Time Twist and Black, with a dessert option to make a last minute Mother's Day card. I opted for no dessert this week.
My initial plan for these beautiful colors was to watercolor a floral image (ha, no surprise!) but I just wasn't inspired, so I ended up with a fun die cut design and a little retro with the twine and button (how many buttons do you still have in your stash? I have loads!).
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll be able to join us for the Color Challenge this week!

Charming little card. I love how you framed the pocket style layout with buttons. How many buttons in your stash you ask, way to many...I have 2 old style candy jars from the General store full! Lol but...one day I will use them.

Buttons? I have many, but, true confessions, I have *never* used one on a card! Maybe that will be my next dessert option challenge! And your DS paper? I still have some of that, too! Have you been using Flat Lay photography all along, and I didn't notice? I am loving this new-to-me technique, and you did a great job showing how it's done! Wish I could find some wood plank paper for a background! Where did you find yours? Oh, and BTW, great card! I love the angled edge and the cute stitched and scalloped border. Cute little hearts, too!
