I can't believe it. I finally made a CAS card. This is for Bonnie and Loll's CAS mix it up challenge which you can find HERE. I had some mild success dropping alcohol ink on coated cardstock but it was so loud it would blind you. This die from Simon was a perfect way to use it. I die cut the card base, die cut the bright paper and inlaid this. I had reservations at first but it wasn't too bad. The worse was those itty bitty dots the seem to jump off the cutting plate into mid air and disappear. My first attempt I lost 1/3 of them. If the pieces stayed in the die this would be a lot easier by turning the die back over into the die cut card base and poke them in place with a pin. But that didn't happen. Thanks for looking!

Simple but stunning. I love the dots, I'm sorry they were so frustrating. I agree alcohol ink and coated paper love each other and create a wonderful shine. I like the toned down color. This is a keeper. Great job. Happy New Year 2017.

Love everything about it. The color, the sentiment and how you embossed it. Great job.
------------------------------ How did I get along before I found this wonderful addiction?
I have made hundreds of cards and so many people say it has brought joy to their lives which, in turn, brings joy to my life. Almost everyone I give them to says that they always save me, which I consider a huge compliment.

What a stunning CAS card Nancy! I really love the colors you achieved and I love this gorgeous embossed sentiment too. Have you tried Glad Press N Seal before? It works wonders when dealing with lots of little pieces like you did. You are a miracle worker to have done all this by hand my friend. Hugs! ~Karen.
