 | | While I wanted to make something "delicate and pretty" for my 95-year-old grandmother for Christmas, I also had to put something on to make her laugh - that's why I *had* to put some more of those steampunk bird borders on this box. I managed to find bird paper, and I made the inner box out of paper that had silly animals on the side - I got lucky and a frog is in the front, and she loves frogs. I kept thinking this box should have maybe a stuffed bird sitting in its nest on top, but I honestly hate having to run out and "buy something else" when I have a ton of stuff on hand, so I was very pleased to find the dimensional bird-flower sticker in my sticker folder. I did not add any paper to the box - it's double-sided paper, and I liked the idea of not having to cut extra paper in order to decorate the box. I've left the box a little open so you can sorta see inside.
Thanks again, Liz! |
