Yay! It is my favorite time of year with our Hope You Can Cling To Challenges underway! Lydia's challenge, Chin Up, asks us to use the paper tole technique to lift part of our image up. I love this image and thought it would be fun for this technique. I stamped the lady 3 times onto dp and cut out parts of her hair and headband for the technique. I did no coloring, just added a few details with metallic paints, glitter glues, and liquid pearls. I used small pieces of dimensionals for my raised parts. I distressed the edges of my image panel and glued onto another piece of dp (actually the backside of the same dp) and distressed its edges as well. I added lace trim along with twine and silver cord to this panel. My sentiment was stamped onto the image panel initially, but some of the letters weren't distinct enough so I stamped onto another panel and cut around it. I decided to stamp the word "dream" onto the dp then popped it up too.
Are you playing along with us? If not, you're missing out on the chance to lift the spirits of women battling breast cancer at MD Anderson, and also on more than $5000 in prizes from your favorite crafty companies. So what are you waiting for? Get to stamping!
