For me, these colors screamed the open sea. So I brought out some very old & some of very first SU stamps. I used smoky slate as my neutral color. I stamped my old world bg stamp on it and then embossed using the square lattice folder. I found that gave it an old look without any distressing. I wrapped some twine around that piece. I then took a piece of watercolor cs and misted it with water. I then used my aqua painter & soft sky reinker to create my watercolor wash. After it dried (I hurried it along using my embossing gun) I then stamped my image in midnight muse & matted on Bermuda bay. I rounded opposite corners and tied a knot in the upper right hand corner. I then popped this up over my twine . I think it turned out pretty well, especially since I don't use the watercolor wash very often. TFL ladies.

I too like how your card turned out. The old world look is perfect for this card and colors and I love that knot you have tied up their in the corner. TFS

Beautiful stamp choices and card design, Mary. Your color wash is the perfect way to use the bright color but keep it tame. To me the best part about *not* being an SU demo is being able to use these wonderful older sets...I'm glad that you did!
