For this HYCCT challenge we were to use text....I found this totally fun and hysterical book at an estate sale..(note: it was falling apart with missing pages and held together with rubber band, or I wouldn't have done this) It was written by a female physician in 1911....called "The Perfect Woman"....LOL!!! It includes every kind of topic from "The discomforts of Pregnancy" to "How to be Worthy of a Husband"....ROFLMBO....oh my, I have been cackling since yest....
I just stamped right on the text and colored in lightly so text would show through....but my colors are a little off as the text is so darkened with age...but I kinda like it...
TFL...

It's fun to find an old book that need cause no pangs of conscience to re-purpose!! I pulled an old French book off my shelf yesterday thinking I could cut into it, but in the end I couldn't bring myself too. I love your little old-fashioned image stamped straight on the page and coloured. I bet whoever gets this will get a kick from reading all the text, too.
What a fun card! VERY creative to use a page from an old book! I like how you stamped your image on top of the text!!! I bet there ARE some really amusing passages in the book!!!

Yes I like it a lot. I started to read the text before I read your description. I find the language used, and the tone, amusing. My how times have changed!! I love the sweet like vintagey image of the little girl and your colouring looks great to me.
Thanks for participating in my HYCCT challenge, I really appreciate the effort, and so will many others who will be touched by your gift of cardmaking for this cause.
