Haven't done the IC in quite while. Anne and Lidy gave us a great site to chose from. So this morning instead of talking with my sister, who was going to a Stampin' Up! Convention, I browsed the site. I chose this one for my inspiration.
I'm now quite sure why eggs caught my eye. Might have something to do with the fact that my DD just had her little baby boy! Whoo Hoo!
Anywho, I drew an egg shape, cut it out then traced it over and over on w/c paper. I painted them to resemble brown eggs, like you might get on a farm. Rounded the corners, plus popped up each corner before putting my panel on a red card then adding a bow. Wanted to add a little dimension here.
Well, have a few more chores to do before I head over to see my new grandson Cooper. Have a great weekend all! TFL :0)
Hi Sis!....hope you got lot's of cool ideas that you are going to be sharing with me. Hi NC Sis!

Love your farm fresh-brown eggs, and love the reason you chose them as an inspiration. Congrats Grandma Cathy (and Uncle Curt)... Cooper is my grandson's name too!

Congratulations Grandma Cathy....That has a nice ring to it. I'm jealous...nothing better in this whole world than a new grandbaby. Enjoy him. Love your card and your reason for doing eggs. Great card. tfs

Oh!!!! A grandbaby!!!! Congrats, Cathy!!! How exciting!!
Yes, my chickens go well with your eggs!! Love your pile of eggs, and the checkered background is perfect! You are so creative!
Your pile of eggs actually looks like my house!! True story: This morning I had 7 dozen eggs in my fridge!! My son has a little chicken coop, and we get LOTS of eggs. So, no grandbabies yet for me... I have "grandchicks". haha.

Congratulations, Cathy, and also to Jessica and her DH and your DH! Welcome to the world Mini Cooper, er Cooper!
I love your dozen eggs, but maybe it's me, I see potato chips (like Yukon Golds, it's been awhile since I've had potato chips)! What a wonderful graphic drawing, that's 100% Mutnik! I love it!!
