For the January Creative Crew Holiday/Seasonal Focus, the challenge was to use Hearts Hearts Hearts. So I enjoyed putting this page together using some of the Occasion Mini downloads for MDS.
This new Love Impressions DSP is so much fun to play with and so versatile, so I used it for my background and stuck in various stamps from the XOXO set. The pink hearts that were "punched" along the ribbon were lowered in opacity to not distract from the overall page.
Another trick I did was to layer Whisper White Textured CS behind the Punches that had opening such as the LOVE circle and reduce opacity so the LOVE could be seen more easily but you could still see the background DSP. I did the same thing with the layer behind the xoxoxoxoxo stamp in the top right, and also behind the ribbons in the center of the page, again to make the ribbons stand out a little better against the DSP but also so you could still see through it.
I used the mat feature and the "picker" option to match the stamps and mats to the various pinks in my girls outfits, and finished it with that cute pink flower from the Vintage Flower Adornment embellishment set.
