 | | Whee, this was easier than I thought when I read Julie's challenge.
Well, the sentiments were easier when I remembered the PTI set I got as blog candy from Schirmcat.
But boy - trying to change my café so that it didn't say café!!!! I got inkier and inkier, the stamp got cleaner and cleaner, but until I took it downstairs and scrubbed it with a toothbrush, I kept getting shadows of the bits I had been so careful not to ink up. Having to use a marker to ink the stamp also limited my choice of colouring :-( . But I couldn't really use those tea stamps with something that says Café des Artistes, could I?
5 3/4" square base. Papers are Making Memories Cosmopolitan. I used a large Fiskars scallop scissors for the awning, popped up on the thickest foam tape I have. Image coloured with pencils. Ends of sentiment tags rounded with a circle punch, and then I just used a large circle layered up on several thickness of card to tidy up where the tags overlap.
I hope a lot of these cards are destined for hand delivery, as most of mine are square - and I know you have to pay more postage over there for square envelopes. |
