Marilynn as Hostess you set such a lovely table! .. what a pretty little Tea Pot! This is my very first time here so I would like to start by saying Hi to everyone! I was really excited that my very first Challenge was with Cardinals! I have had so many of them in my back yard... they bring their babies to play under the big oak in the back and even come up on my deck and sing to me. Of course spoiling them with 3 bird feeders, a bird bath and suett in my tree must make them feel right at home dontcha' think! I even put peanut butter on bagels, dip them in bird seed and hang them in the tree as a special treat! I hope my card can convey the Joy they bring me when I look outside and happen to catch one sitting on a branch as lovely as can be!
I stamped my cardinal and branch onto two pieces of confetti white paper.. I used my Bic Mark Its (which are kind of like using Copics) then I fussy cut one and laid it over the first image with my SU dimensionals.
I was asked where the ribbon is from .. I purchased it from last years Oct 08 - Jan 09 Holiday mini! You can still get some for yourself even though the mini has expired though... you can find it online at the SU Clearance Rack for $6.99 regularly $14.99 for 3 rolls, it's called Alpine Original!

This is a beautiful card. I love this set but I don't have it. I keep looking on Ebay for some of the retired sets with Cardinals in them. My favorite is Christmas Cardinal. I just uploaded my first card here too and now that I know what I'm doing I will upload a few more. I have learned so much from this great site and I never pass up a chance to tell someone else about it.

Well, I would say so. That you are so sweet to those cardinals that you make this one look so fine! Welcome to the club. You know we are a nutty/witty/bighearted gang of stampers here. LOL Don't be nervous, we are sweet too.
I do love your nestie and your fine additions, like your ribbon, punched leaves, and precious gold thread on the sentiment. TFS and do come back next week.
Oh, I forgot the blue sponging on the background, don't know how I did that because blue is my favourite colour you know.

What a pretty card, Sherry! If I could make that stamp look that good, I might be tempted to buy it Love your punched branches along with the fussy-cut ones - looks great!
