That's exactly what I did, but I think I even used plain old Crayola colored pencils and they worked fine--didn't rub off at all. I made wine charms with shrink plastic.

I like that idea and I'm sure going to try it. I have also stamped an image and embossed it, then colored in the inside with bleach and colored over the bleach with the metallic pencils. Works great...
