Tried that too

I found yet another video where she uses the metal shim, so I ordered that. She cut a much more intricate die than the one I am trying and it cut beautifully. So, I ordered the metal shim. It came...

thank you

I really can't justify another purchase right now. I just bought the multipurpose platform and two new plates for my machine. But it will go on my wish list. It doesn't cost a thing to dream, right?

Thank you for the link. I went straight there, read the whole post then tried yet again doing exactly what she says. I still get a partial cut.

Electric vs Manual die cutting machines

I had major problems with a die I recently bought and watched a ton of videos on die cutting. It made me wonder. Are the electronic machines superior to the hand cranked ones? Do you still have to...

Tried that

I even tried text weight paper and it cuts the outer edge, makes the score line, and imprints the design. So disappointed as I loved that die.

Can't do that

The particular card I want to use this on is the one Jennifer McGuire did in her video (and the main reason I bought it). Since the card is long, I don't have the option of changing the angle of the...

Modern Flowers Card Wrap die

Did anybody buy this die? Just curious if I am the only one having problems and would like some help. I've used shims and have gotten to the point I can use no more shims or it won't even roll...

Thank you

I wish I had known about them before I struggled with getting a BG stamp in the same place on a smaller (than the stamp) piece of cardstock.

Martha Stewart Crafts

I don't get out much so did not know that Michaels has quit carrying MS craft supplies. When did this happen? I had a coupon for MS crafts that was only good at Michaels. At our Michaels, it looks...

I had the Hampton Arts positioner

and after watching videos and reading posts on forums, I just had to have the Tim Holtz one. Well. IMHO unless I am missing something, the only thing I like better about it is that I am not "boxed...

Too late for that

But I will do that from here on out. I'm just so used to having a packing slip, I didn't think anything of deleting it.

Orders from SSS

It's been a while since I've ordered from Simon Says Stamp, and can't remember if a packing slip comes in your package. My Tim Holtz positioner came today and there was nothing else in the box. I...

Bummer!

No, I did not know that. I'm always late to the party. I have the MS board too and prefer it because of more score grooves. I know Score Pal has a newer one now, but I can't justify buying it since I...

Looking for a tutorial, going way out on a limb

A good while back there was a company called Mostly Animals. The woman who owned it also did tutorials using her products. She had previously been an engineer (I think) and designed her lessons in a...

Only one pair of pliers, but...

I used one of those rubber "round to it" things to get a good grip on the other end. I might have hubby try. If he breaks it, it will just be a good excuse to get a new one or a substitute. Thanks...

Thank you

So far the sharp end has held up, but I think I will just take that out and throw the other part away. The part you need to put new tacky stuff in is never going to come apart. I will try a crayon...

Has anyone ever been able to actually get this thing apart to refill it? I've watched several You Tube videos, but I'll be darned if I can get this thing apart. Just wondering if I should toss it...
