This is for Lisa's lovely WT challenge - Hans Christian Anderson. The Ugly Duckling was one of my favourite stories and is the inspiration for my card.
I started with a piece of masking paper the same size as the panel, then using a blade, cut out the moon shape. The negative and positive masks are both used.
The background was made by masking the moon area then dunking the cardstock into a puddle of Dylusions Ink Spray and Ironing Spray Starch.
I placed the top half of the card in a more concentrated part of the puddle and rubbed my hand over that section.
Once the base was dry, I removed the moon mask then put the background mask in place leaving the moon exposed and ready for distress ink.
Smack & Squirt technique for the moon - smack distress ink pad onto al foil then squirt on some water and scrub on the inky water.
The ducks were stamped a gazillion times thanks to MISTI and Memento Luxe ink. I finished with a bit of dot and tree stamping.
Thank you for looking.

You have your inking techniques down to a science Susie.... Super cute card with no ugly ducklings to be seen... Love the rich color you achieved with the Misti... How did we ever live without it....
