This card was made for a sketch challenge that had the optional challenge to use embossing.
I had recently purchases Spellbinders Glimmer Foiling System, which I wanted to try out using regular dies. I chose their gold foil and the Stampin' Up! (SU) "Stitched Greenery" die that has a paper piercing pattern in the form of leaves. If you look closely at the dark green main panel you can see the gold leaves.
I also used the leaf die (without foil) on the smaller rectangular green panel. The flowers were die cut using the SU "Pierced Blooms" die set which embosses the flowers and leaves with stitches. The flowers and leaves were all die cut from shimmer paper. The centers of the larger flowers were made shiny using Glossy Accents liquid.
The three banners below the flowers were cut to 3/4" wide, then punched using SU's "Banner Pick-A-Punch". They were each then embossed with three different embossing folders (see recipe below for names of folders).
I am rating the difficulty level as a "3" out of a possible "5" because of all the die cutting and embossing required.
I think this well make a nice birthday card or a thinking-of-you card. I'll probably add a heat embossed sentiment in a square format over the top of the three horizontal banners.
